I initially didn't believe this was real, but if you're a New York Botox user who's trying to cut down on the cost of your ongoing injections, there's a new service that might be right up your syringe: the Botox Bank.
A clinic called SmoothMED is now running its own Botox accounting operation, where you can buy virtual units of Botox at a locked-in price. The idea is that you can get exactly the amount you need instead of paying by the area (which tends to cost more than the per-unit price). When you come in to the clinic for your next round, you just "withdraw" the desired number of units you've "banked." It's a pretty interesting idea and, if you're looking at things from a sheerly economic perspective, it makes sense. Sadly, you don't get a free toaster if you open an account. What do you think of the idea?
Over the weekend, there definitely wasn't a shortage of celebrity sightings, as the stars flocked to Miami for various Super Bowl festivities. Among the revelers was Jessica Alba, pictured here wearing a much shorter bob. While most of you prefer her as a brunette, tell me this: Which length do you think suits her more?

For Queen Latifah's performance at the Super Bowl, makeup artist Monifa Mortis says she knew that the look she created would have to have "smoky definition, so all the fans could see her." The look she created was understated and smoky but had tons of impact. To find out how Mortis did it, just keep reading.
This post comes to us from the Natural Beauties group, where member Baigneuse published an awesome DIY recipe.
While olive oil and honey have been used in natural beauty concoctions throughout history, it seems as though they've just recently received the spotlight that they deserve. Honey, a natural antioxidant known for reducing inflammation, is antibacterial and antifungal, making it great for acne-prone skin, and due to its ability to stimulate cytokine production it is also capable of speeding up the healing process. It's great for lightening scarring and, as a natural humectant, attracting water to the skin, leaving it hydrated and soft. Olive oil is rich in polyphenols and hydroxytrosol, one of nature's most powerful antioxidants, which strengthens the skin's immune system and protects it from oxidation. Hydroxytrosol also slows aging by stabilizing the cell plasma membrane. Olive oil is rich in oleic acid and is a natural emollient and excellent moisturizer.
While you may already know the amazing benefits that these ingredients have in masks, cleansers, and moisturizers, you should also be aware that they can make one banging body scrub. Get silky smooth skin this Valentine's Day by using the following recipe one day prior to the big event (and as always, perform a patch test first). To find out more, keep reading.
I love unusual salon signs. Perhaps it's due to an intentional pun, the copy is inadvertently missing a letter, or a strange business name makes it all the more fun. The "Greene Nails" salon near my apartment, for instance, doesn't conjure up images of the kind of nails I'd like to step out with; it makes me think more along the lines of "moldy growths," not Chanel's lovely jade hue. Check out some wacky signs now.
Cat Deeley looked casual and cute outside the BBC Radio One studios in London. She wore Hudson black skinny jeans and kept warm with a feminine white pom pom scarf and soft green leather jacket (similar in color to this one by Tory Burch), adding a Pauric Sweeney python bag and tough combat boots to give the look more of an edge.
