As the name suggests, concealer is for, well, concealing — especially the dark circles under our eyes. But one of the biggest concerns with under-eye makeup is how cakey it gets, especially when it settles in lines and creases from the inevitable expressions we make throughout the day. Enter: Benefit Fakeup ($24). This genius concealer is everything your under-eye area needs and then some. The core features color-correcting pigments with light-diffusing particles for radiant coverage, while the ring includes hydrating ingredients such as vitamin E and apple seed extract to give you smooth coverage. As for those creases, leave them for your dress pants.
Marc Jacobs has been known to pull out all stops for his runway beauty, and with custom-cut wigs — and a huge nail polish surprise — he didn't disappoint for Fall 2013. Lead stylist Guido (for Redken) turned every model into a brunette, cutting each girl's hair into a punk pixie backstage. And makeup artist François Nars put his focus on a dark eye makeup look that featured just a touch of shine.
The look: A greasy smoky eye, brunette punk wigs, and red nails.
The inspiration: Rocker girls like Joan Jett and Marianne Faithfull.
Overheard backstage: Marc Jacobs is releasing a new nail polish line this Fall.
Marc Jacobs does fashion and fragrance, and now he's adding a nail polish to his repertoire. The Marc Jacobs Enamored line won't hit stores until Fall, but two new shades were revealed backstage this evening: a deep red shade called Jezebel, and what will likely be the star product in the line, Shiny. The top coat was inspired by a high-shine coffee table Jacobs has at home; it was formulated to give the appearance of 30 coats with just one swipe. Sadly, you'll have to wait until next season to get your hands on a bottle of this designer lacquer, where it will be available at Sephora.

Even when the temperatures outside dip, the ladies who skip between shows during New York Fashion Week always look their best. But their focus often extends beyond fashion. Plenty of thought goes into the beauty looks to pair with their mulled-over ensembles, and a bevy of the looks seen outside the tents dictate the trends for next season. Flip through for some instant inspiration.
Done up in ruddy-hued lips and strands styled with just a touch of texture, the models at 3.1 Phillip Lim's Fall 2013 show were urban girls with a bit of an edge. And in order to capture that sexy, naughty, dangerous vibe, Frédéric Fekkai lead stylist Paul Hanlon ensured models' hair texture was not too precise. But it was a reddish-brown lip look, conceptualized by makeup artist Francelle Daly for Nars, which really brought this downtown girl notion to life. All that was missing? A rocker boyfriend.
The spotlight may be on the clothes, but New York Fashion Week is also where the new nail art and color trends emerge. From intricate, hand-painted designs to ways to play with color, texture, and shapes, we present the fashionable nail looks that have been designer approved for Fall 2013.
Last night, London style descended on LA at the Topman flagship store opening. Celebrities showed off their excitement with some of their best beauty looks. The trend of the night was bold lips seen in classic red, neon pinks, and hot orange. See all the Topshop red carpet had to offer by way of casual-yet-cool hair and makeup.
