Fall is officially here, which means the deeper hues are coming out of makeup bags. Don't believe us? Three separate celebrities were seen sporting varying shades of purple across their lips this week. Emma Watson opted for a berry hue, while Kim Kardashian swept a deep wine shade across her lips. And Princess Charlene of Monaco went for an edgy shade of bright grape at Paris Fashion Week. All three were different, but completely gorgeous. Whose did you like best?
If there's one thing we love to see on Instagram, it's nail art. And luckily, plenty of our favorite celebrities and industry insiders showed off their pretty paws this week. The easiest way to add some Halloween flair to your nails is with a seasonable nail charm — it does all the work for you. We took a rhinestone-encrusted skull charm and let it be the focal point of our manicure. First, paint your nails black, and then add a little glitz to your nails with silver glitter, or you can use a top coat like Essie Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat in Set in Stones ($8). Lastly, adhere a skull charm to your ring finger using nail glue or a top coat. We got our nail charms from Proto Nail Art & Beauty Products ($4/set), but you can also find them at arts and crafts stores. If you can't find a charm, you can take a stab at painting a skull design freehand with silver nail polish. No matter how you do it, your sparkling nail art will be more treat than trick.
