Do you know "the snood"? Well, you do now. That's exactly what Amy Adams asked Matrix celebrity hairstylist, Mark Townsend, to create for her. Using elements from this classic 1930s hairstyle, Townsend also looked to the styles worn by Tilda Swinton in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Amy's structured, but soft, red Carolina Herrera gown for inspiration. - First, Amy's hair was sprayed with Matrix Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel and blow-dried with a large Spornette Mixed Bristle Round Brush ($9).
- Once the hair was dry, Biolage Molding Souffle ($13) was raked through the hair to create a soft, piecey texture.
- Next, Townsend gathered Amy's hair at the nape of her neck. He then looped it into a sideways figure eight stretching the length of her hairline, letting the ends of the hair fall over the chignon. He secured her hair with several bobby pins, to ensure that the style would stay put.
- To finish, he sprayed Matrix Vavoom Shape Maker Shaping Spray ($15) for shine and hold.

3I know I just LOVED Amy Adams necklace! It definalty goes back to old Hollywood glamour. Although I must say it is harder to find this style of jewelry (that “bib” look) but I did find some kinda similar pieces on some small website www.amyming.com i’ll keep looking!
