Do You Own a Wig?

Check out these saucy photos of Angelina Jolie for the July issue of Vanity Fair. It's hard to believe that someone with her gorgeous mane would ever feel the need to wear a wig, but it was actually her idea at the photo shoot. I don't own a wig, but I do like to wear my clip-on hair extensions as much as possible. Do you own a wig?

Angelina Jolie's hair for about the last 10 years has been hair extensions and wigs. We haven't seen her real hair for a long time. Like her hair in The Tourist is a wig. She tried to get it similar to how she normally wears her hair, but you can tell the texture and thickness is different. It's certainly nothing wrong with wearing a wig or hair extensions. I've seen everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Sophia Loren in wigs. All these fake hair techniques have been worn in Hollywood for years. Another thing, wigs were favored by European artistocracy and the Egyptian royalty wore them, too. So they've been around for centuries actually.

No, but me and my friends had this plan (which we never followed through with but i still want to do), where we would all buy cute wigs at the beauty supply store, and then get dressed up and go club hopping and use fake names etc. is that dorky?

I own a blond wig. It's like a bob cut and it was for Halloween. It was so uncomfortable (and cheap looking) that I didn't even end up wearing it the whole night. Oh well, got a couple hours out of it at least.

I have one wig, and one small hairpiece..rarely wear them but the wig is fab, its like a long, thick bob. (Something I cannot carry off) in a dark, dark chocolate brown. When I do wear it, I like it under a little black and white hat with a black turtleneck. And yeah its like a non-hat hat! But...I am wary about wearing it too much, always paranoid someone might be able to tell, or that it blows off or something bizarre. :D But the concept of wigs as just another accessory to me is so underappreciated, I would totally wear like..an emerald green or burgundy bob with thick fringe. The hairpiece, which I have had for ages, and maybe wear a couple of times a month, is a small curly lock of black-brown hair that you secure above a ponytail, then wrap it around the base to give the whole look a "no bands or accessories" look. I could do this with my own hair, but its a bit short for it at the moment, so this works great for a sleek and simple look.

Because of the fact that angelina's so damn gorgeous she rocks it with ease! I have costume wigs...before I thought of taking unrolling my dreadlocks, I was going to get a wig to have different looks (sisterlocks, then a straight bob! totally wicked, no???) bt then I unrolled my locks (which took over 20 hrs ikr!) and I have braids bt yea...Angelina is soo beautiful that she can rock any wig with no ease...has anyone seen her with purple hair yet??

I own a short black banged wig just because I was a bit iffy on cutting my own hair for the style. It was too cute so I decided to stick with it until the weather got hot of course. Now I'm just waiting for fall to whip it back out.

I love wigs, but have never gotten around to buying one. I adore the idea of looking drastically different from day to day. And JEEZ miz Jolie is supernaturally beautiful!
