Oh, that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. So little, yet so litigious! She and mama Angelina recently had a lawsuit that challenged a patent request to name a new perfume Shiloh. Well, the Jolie-Pitts (yes, Shiloh's name was on the suit) dropped the lawsuit, the patent is going forward, and soon you'll be able to smell Shiloh the fragrance.
The Washington Post reporter says of Shiloh:
It is a complex fragrance. The forward notes, the ones that hit your nose first, are cedar wood and patchouli. Rising above that earthy base are delicious whiffs of citrus (thanks to a dab of bergamot oil) and rose petals. There are probably about 30 other scents that an expert could identify. It's a really heady scent."
Sounds heady indeed. No word on what Shiloh the baby smells like, though.

13Um, maybe this is showing my nerdiness, but when I hear "Shiloh" I think of the Battle of Shiloh.
I see the lawsuit both ways. Let's face it, tons of people would love to make a buck by the name of the world's most famous baby, so I understand why Ange might want to go to court. But I also think it's a little silly to think that Shiloh the fragrance is automatically linked with Shiloh the baby. Now if it were a fragrance called Jolie Shiloh, that would be another story!

17i agree with bella, there are probably tons of people who probably looking to profit off the name shiloh, but the name has been around forever. hell there is a shiloh inn a half hour away from my house!

20If that's the case, I think that Phyllis Reynolds Naylor should attempt a lawsuit against Jolie for using the name Shiloh. I really dislike Angelina. I feel she presents herself in a "Holier Than Thou" sort of way.

21One thing to keep in mind when we’re talking about famous folks is that it’s typically their team of lawyers calling the shots and not the celebrity in particular. After all, that’s what those lawyers get the big bucks for, right? I’m not saying that’s the case here - only Angelina & her lawyers know that but it’s not right on to assume it was her call.

23I read that the perfume (and it's name) were in development before the baby. No matter how self-absorbed this woman is, I can't believe her lawyers gave her any hope she could win this. Maybe they needed new summer homes?
24i dont know, i doubt they would have just called the perfume shiloh before shi was born, i think its weird, shes only a baby. i think its a bit of a "coincidence"

27and- the owner of the perfume is probably going to have a boost in sales. People who may have never heard of the perfume are going to remember the lawsuit and think that they are supposrting Angelina on another "good cause" and buy it.
