Those of you who love Benefit's cult-favorite lip and cheek stain, Benetint, will be excited to know about a forthcoming product called Posietint ($28). It's launching in June, but if you're a Sephora Beauty Insider, you'll have a chance to buy it beforehand. (Sign up at Sephora to be notified when it's available.)
Like its big sister Benetint, Posietint is a liquid stain that goes on with a brush. The difference is that instead of giving a reddish flush to lips and cheeks, Posietint gives a sheer pink wash of color. When you see it, you'll understand why it's not packaged in a clear bottle; the stain is the color of Pepto Bismol. Never fear, though: when it's blended into skin, it looks like a natural flush of color.

I snagged a bottle of Posietint to try out, so I asked my friend Allie to be a model. She is one of those gorgeous women whose skin looks like it's never seen a blackhead in its life. I applied a few small swipes of Posietint on the apples of her cheeks, then blended them using my fingers. The result: A totally natural-looking burst of pink. I think Allie looks like the quintessential English beauty here — all creamy complexion and rosy cheeks.

I want this.
Will it come in the lip balm as well?
1Ooh, I want this, benetint is a little too red for my complexion. This would be perfect!
2very pretty. i always wanted to like benetint, but found it to too red for my complexion. i'll have to check this out.
3BAStyle, I read your blog entry and am glad to hear it works on darker skinned girls too! I can't wait to buy some!
4i love benetint, but sometimes i feel like i dont apply it right. helpp me
5Pixigirl31, the best way to apply it is to draw on little "cat whiskers" on your cheeks — maybe a half-inch long or so. Right after drawing them on, just use your fingers to blend. I can do three stripes on one cheek before blending, but after that, it's tough because the color sets quickly. It's a lot easier with lips, in which case I often like to leave the color on so it looks "bitten." Hope this helps!
6Ooh!! Excited.
7I will totally be getting this! I LOVED the Benetint sample sizes Sephora has been giving out. I love tiny makeup. I agree, having something more pink and less red would be ideal.
8I think teamsugar may have removed my orginal post ( GreenSkittleGal saw it) because it had a link to my blog which was posted yesterday about Posietint, but it is avalible now in Benefit Botique's no need to wait on Sephora!
9Neat.
10oooh i can't wait for this to come out!!
11Oooh, this looks really good - BeneTint is too much of a hot pink on my skin, this could be a considerable improvement
12She's so cute. The color is really great on her fair skin and since mine is similar it would probably look nice. I am not a huge fan of benetint though. I find it hard to use even though I'm pretty good with makeup.
13I like it.
14I have whiter skin and dark hair though. I wonder how it would look on someone with a Liv Tyler-like complexion.
15Ooooh- can't wait to try it!
16it looks even pinker than benetint to me!
17she looks beautiful
I love it
18Yay!!! I'm SO obsessed with Benetint, I've used it every day for years, on my lips AND cheeks. I bet this one will be just as fab.
I'm signing up for the Sephora notification for sure!
19stay with the original hate pink lipcolor
20Gives her a natural look..very pretty. I will check it out.
21Cool! Thanks for the info!
22Will it work for olive skin?
23I want this!! I have a friend who works at Benefit and it's supposed to be available on the Benefit site soon too...
24I love benetint and can't wait to get Posietnt and try it on.
25Wow, she does have very pretty skin! As a Benefit addict--I know I'm going to be first in line to get this!
26I want this so much! Benetint was always a little too dark.
27your friend looks like a younger, fresher version of dr. hahn from grey's anatomy
