Best of 2009: Body Moisturizer

Whether you go for body butters, lotions, oils, or another kind of moisturizer, just about everybody can benefit from a good moisturizer. An effective one can feel like a lifesaver when cold weather leaves our skin raw, flaky, or chapped. I'll reveal my favorite of the year when we roll out the Sugar Awards next week, but which one do you reach for every time?

i used to buy Olay mositurizers for sensitive skin but i recently brought this face and body lotion called Rose made with rose oil, omg i am in love with this product and the scent is amazing!!!♥

I use to like Nivea SOS Relief Body Lotion, but I recently use only organic oils, like sweet almond oil, jojoba, coconut etc. My skin feels great, plus those oils are free from parabens and other bad stuff.

I am a huge fan of St. Ives' Mineral Therapy Lotion.

Probably unscented Jergens. I like the Vaseline line too.

This is tough - I love my Olay Quench in the summer - just a hint of sparkle. In the winter I'm using a combination of Burt's Bees Lemon Bath Oil followed up with Aveeno Lotion. The Aveeno is great - my husband can use it and he gets rashes from just about every lotion but this!

GOLD BOND ultimate healing!!! by far the best ever! i have tried everything on my SUPER SUPER dry skin (i used to be so dry i could peel my skin off also bleed from time to time).

Kiehl's Hand & Body Moisturizer in Grapefruit - a little pricey compared to some of the other options, but it isn't greasy and it absorbs really well!

Aveeno, hands down! It absorbs quickly, it's not overly scented, and it leaves the skin soft all day!

I love scented body lotions, but in the winter, the only lotion that can relieve my super-dry skin is Nivea Extra Enriched Lotion. It's a little on the heavy/greasy side, but it lasts ALL day and makes my skin feel so soft.

Bath and Body Works re-formulated their body creams recently, and wow do I love them. I used to just keep one by the bed for my feet at night so I go to bed smelling nice (my boyfriend appreciates it). But now it's my everyday after shower cream, I used to use the Sephora store brand body butter before - BBW is expensive but much less so than the Sephora stuff and I like that I can mix and match scents.
