The warm water trick is SOOOOOOOOOOO wrong! If the mascara is dry & clumpy, it's time for a new tube. The best cost less than $10 so why risk an eye infection? Shame on whoever thought that was a brilliant idea.

I didn't know about the hot water trick. I will use that one. I gently clamp the eyelash curler at the base of the lashes and then gently pull the curler away from you. (Be careful not to squeeze too hard and pull out a lash.) It curls the lashes like a straight edge does ribbon. Shu Uemura is the best curler on the market. I have tried every mascara ever and I like Rimmel Glam Eyes. The applicator is this comb/brush that separates perfectly. I'm pretty sure she was using CoverGirl lash blast and that brush is just too fat. It reminds me of fat markers which I also hate. =) And you can't go wrong with Maybelline Great Lash. I also hear waterproof mascara commonly has tar in it and causes your eyelashes to become brittle and prone to breakage.

To Comment number 7 an eyelash perm will keep your lashes curled. I have the same problem as yours.

great tips, but i have a big problem if anyone can help!!! my lashes are straight downward and when i curl them and put mascara on they go straight again....help!!! i have tried everything.

I am not gonna lie... this is the same stuff I have read on here a thousand times. I would like a cake mascara tutorial or maybe some tips on adding volume.
