If you've always loved the blue lacquered doors that adorn so many houses and buildings in Paris, now you can take a little of their style with you. Jewelry designer Laura Lobdell adores the Paris bleu so much that she created nail polish in a reminiscent hue called Laura Lobdell 183 ($18). It's quirky (and pricey), but the result is pretty and very wearable. I like the idea of using your cosmetics as a way to express your sentimentality, and this color is such a specific thing that it feels smart and cool instead of just like a random city's name stuck on an otherwise unremarkable color. But do you like it? And what kind of shade would you create if asked to come up with a hue that would be reminiscent of your favorite city?
