What do Brandy, Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson have in common besides singing careers? They're all endorsing lines of hair extensions. Brandy is the latest to join the faux-hair club, pushing a collection of extensions and weaves made with collagen. They're available in 16 shades designed for women of color, and at $29, they're less expensive than Paris' human-hair extensions and Jess' fake-hair clip-ins.
Initially I thought extensions were expensive and time-consuming, but now that there are some cheaper options on the market—and my hair's in an awkward growing-out stage—I've been thinking of trying them out. Then again, you can always try out celebrity hairstyles online, so maybe I'll just start there. I'm curious to know whether you've tried extensions. If so, was the cost worth it, and did it look believably real?

I have hair extensions in right. I don't care whether it looks believeable or not, it looks good and thats all I care about.I over processed my hair so it broke off and Im in the process of growing it out. My extensions will help me stop over brushing my hair and will help it grow, and thats all I care about right now
Try it
1go for it. i think extensions are cool. i agree with fablavishlife: who cares if they look real as long as they look good? god forbid paris hilton's dumb ass should get to have all the fun!!
2Extensions aren't for me. I've worn my hair natural since the mid-1990s. Just made my life so much easier...
3The only extensions I've ever associated Brandy with were of the braided variety, and I love braids to death. I'm thinking about braiding my hair up soon for the winter, as a matter of fact, so I definitely think you should give extensions a try.
4Poor Brandy - didn't she have a hot career at one point?
5i want extensions LOL. good for brandy. since she has all that legal stuff going on. she needs something positive in her life. good for her!
6I'd totally try extensions.
7I did fake her once for a cruise, never again IMO. But I love when ppl have nice extensions. Hair is an accessory, so good for those who use em and good from Brandy cashing in on all the horse hair she's been sporting all these years. LMAO she needs the money for the civil suits
8I have hair extensions in, they look great but they've damaged some of my hair at the roots. To be honest, if you wont to grow it they will set your hair back a bit but if you just want long hair now then go for it. They cost me £250.
9I would like to try them. I am trying to grow my hair out a la Carrie Bradshaw-wild and curly. How do you get them to match your hair just right though? I am worried they will be off and look really nasty?
10I got extensions last year to add about 8 inches of length. Here in Tokyo, the most popular type is human hair attached with box braids. The hair is affordable and comes in any color, but only two textures: straight Asian, and permed Asian. I got a great color match. The texture wasn't believable unless I used a curling iron to style both my own hair and the extensions into the same type of curl. The worst problem was the volume. I naturally have a lot of hair. With extensions, it's ridiculous. The weight of the hair when I washed it was so heavy that I got neckaches. Then I'd spend half an hour blow-drying it, and it still wouldn't be completely dry until the next morning. It was awful, and now I'm just growing my own hair out.
However, I love clip-in extensions! I have some pieces made of human hair and when it's all styled, no one can tell it's not mine. The best part is that I get to take them off at the end of the day.
11I'm pretty sure Brandy's extensions have been around for a while cause I've been seeing them in magazines for a couple of years now. I haven't used them but I know a girl and she says they are really versatile.
12i dont like extensions
13i just bought the jessica simpson ones and i love them.! i bought a short and long one so i can be versitile lol...
14I think Brandy's line has been around for a while, but still good for her. As for me, I love extensions, weaves, the whole lot. It saves me from torturing my real hair with straightening, curling, chemicals, heat, and everything else that can possibly be done.
15i've had extensions but only for occasions not for everyday cause its such a love hate relationship with them. If u get sew in they have to be human hair and my hair grows to quick so that a waste of money. Braids hurt and they get dirty quick and annoying to take out. ponytails ugghh so fake
16too bad she KILLED a guy.
and i'd like to try extensions since i've never had hair longer than my shoulders, but i can't afford them and they would probably drive me insanse with all the maintenance.
17A co-worker had Jess' hair extensions in and they made her look like a cheap hooker. They matched her hair color perfectly, but they still made her look cheap. But that could just be her!
18i have a victoria beckham 'pob' - i LOVE IT - but unfortunately it's NOT VERY SEXY TO GUYS. Guys still love long hair on me which is why im thinkig of getting extensions. but from all these horror stories aboce.. i just dont know if i want them anymore!
19I got my hair cut in some Jennifer Anniston "friends" do and then realized I didn't want my hair done like that at my wedding, so I had some extensions put in and they looked good and got me through my big day!
20My sister has some that I used one night when I went out and they are awesome (I think they are Jessica Simpson). I would buy these ones...they're much cheaper
21I've thought of getting extensions, but the ones that look the best seem to damage your hair. I want my hair to be longer, not more damaged.
22They need to help out britney with her extension game...the hottest mess.
23I prefer braids to weaves because somehow people always know its a weave... At least with braids they don't know where your real hair ends.
