Warmer temperatures mean bronzer becomes part of most people's makeup routines. Whether you're a bronzing fanatic or still warming up to it, this glowing makeup look by MAC senior artist Gina Bettelli will help you create a sun-kissed glow that takes you easily from day to night and everything in between. Plus, the neutral shades make it a go-to look for all skin tones.

It may sound like a makeup faux pas, but Bettelli recommends starting with a foundation that's one to two shades darker than your complexion if you're going for a bronzed makeup look. "Mineralize Moisture ($33) is my favorite for the Spring/Summer season," she says. "It adds a radiant glow and sunscreen to your daily routine."

Helpful tip: Match your foundation to your arms, which usually get more sun and and are slightly darker than your face.

The slightly darker foundation helps balance your complexion for your upcoming bronzer application.

Once your foundation is blended (even on the neck), grab your favorite bronzer — Bettelli likes Pro Longwear Bronzer ($30) — and use a fluffy powder brush to apply it along your hairline, cheekbones, neck, and jaw. "I like to sweep the bronzer across the face in a W shape to subtly contour the nose and cheeks."

Next, highlight the face with Strobe Liquid in Golden Elixir ($31). Use it on your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and a little on your chin to help create the illusion of healthy, glowing skin.

Now that the skin is warmed up and bronzer has been applied, Betelli likes to use a bronzed makeup palette to create a sultry Summer look. She started off with Eye Kohl in Powersurge ($16), a bronze-brown with golden shimmer, inside the water line and under the eyes for a soft smoky look. "My trick is to make the line extend out to where your lashes end," she says.

Next, she used a shimmering soft brown eye shadow that she blended all over the eyelid, stopping at the crease.

To help make the eyes pop even more, Bettelli applied Pro Longwear Eyeshadow in Carefree ($21), a shimmering pale gold, to the inner corners of the eyes.

She also added the gold shadow to the Cupid's bow for a hint of sheen.

Even though your cheeks are already contoured with bronzer, make sure to give them a hint of flushed color by applying blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Complete the palette with a hit of mascara on both the top and bottom lashes.

Thrown on a lip gloss, and you have a gorgeously bronzed daytime look.

To bring your look into the evening, add a shimmering violet lip color like Temperature Rising Lipstick in Caliente ($17). "For night, I like to use something with shimmer so the light bounces off it," Bettelli says.
