Typically Burberry Prorsum runway beauty [1] is all neutral shades and barely there makeup, but for Fall 2014, things got dark, or at least, darker. The eye makeup was a mix of plum and beige shades created with the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (coming this Fall). Instead of using a dark black liner, eyes were finished with a nude pencil and no mascara, keeping the look light and fresh. To balance the vampy smoky eye, the lip was a neutral rose color, but nails were coated with an aubergine polish called Elderberry (available this Fall from Burberry).
The hair was styled into mussed waves with a deep middle part. The finished look wasn't too high maintenance, but still an exciting departure from Burberry's minimalist tradition. Backstage, the mood [2] was fun and carefree with models like Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, and Suki Waterhouse all cavorting before the catwalk.
