Trust Cate Blanchett to make a fabulously fashion-forward red-carpet arrival. She always pushes the fashion envelope, this time in a soft beaded lavender-hued Givenchy, with structured shoulders and contrasting yellow beading. Letting the gown be the standout, she keeps the rest simple; hair is easy and soft, while jewels are minimal — just a pair of gold studs and one fabulous, gold and jeweled bracelet. Thoughts?

Cate Blanchette is a red-carpet goddess - she can do no wrong. I agree the structure is amazing, I believe the designer is Givenchy? She pulls it off wonderfully.

Cate Blanchett is my #1. the construction of this dress is crazy awesome. she is the only person who can pull it off. Fab should have posted a pic of the back. it was gorgeous!

STUN-NING! Favorite of the night! Love the lilac and touches of yellow. You can always count on Cate to do something just different enough not to be boring, but not so different as to be ugly, and to me that's what I want to see what I watch the awards shows. Her hair and makeup look perfect as well.
