Get Catherine Keener's Sundance Glow
Catherine Keener always looks fresh-faced and glowing, and lucky for us, celebrity makeup artist, Nick Barose, who did the actress's makeup at the Sundance premiere of Please Give over the weekend, has shared his tips for getting the look. "If the skin looks hydrated, especially in this extreme-cold weather, then the rest of your makeup will look great," he said.
To give Catherine's skin a healthy glow pre-makeup, he used Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream ($75), and for the eyes, Barose left on the Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($45) for 10 minutes to prevent creasing. To find out how to get the rest of Catherine's rosy glow, just keep reading.
- Complexion: Using a dampened sponge, Barose dabbed on Estée Lauder Double Wear Light in Intensity 3 ($33.50). In lieu of powder, he opted to dust on Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in #2 ($46) on the t-zone, cheeks, chin, and bridge of the nose.
- Eyes: Barose lined the upper lash lines with a black waterproof pencil — Dior Waterproof Eyeliner in Trinidad Black ($26). Then, he smudged MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood ($16.50), a metallic antique bronze, over the liner and onto the lids, finishing by applying two coats of black mascara to the lashes.
- Cheeks: "To add [a] healthy flush to cheeks, dab a peachy-tone cream blush on [the] apples by blending in two circular motions," says Barose. He used NARS The Multiple in Orgasm ($37), a peachy-pink shimmer.
- Lips: For just a hint of warm, sheer color, Benefit Lip Gloss in Fresh Squeezed ($18), a pink-grapefruit shade, was applied to the lips.
