Models, designers, and fashion aficionados traveled to Dubai this week to preview the Chanel Cruise Collection 2014-2015. Now, you might expect the exotic location would have an effect on the hair and makeup, but the runway was actually more like a resurgence of disco beauty.

Two different hairstyles came down the catwalk, but both involved intensive teasing. One look had height at the crown, while the alternative was a head full of oversize curls. Models wore bedazzled headbands that mimicked the Chanel logo. The makeup was an all-black smoky eye with gold foil at the inner corners — a look best reserved for a nighttime event.
