Hi I'm Ally Merriam. Welcome back to Pop Sugar TV. We're joined by Bellasugar editor Jessica Krohl, thanks for coming, who spent the other night at a party with Charlotte Rohnson, a desginer. America is leading a new trend we're seeing where people take their designs from the runways and put it on to other products, like in beauty. So what did Charlotte tell you? Well, I got to talk with Charlotte about her new project with Nivea and she's gonna actually help them redesign their cap. But Charlotte also designed her own cap which actually is right here. It's inspired by her Fall 2012 Collection, so you see a lot of geometric designs, a little edgy feel just like her runway design. And you also designed your own cap which could be on a movie just like this. Yes. It was green I'm really loving that right now. What other designers are getting into the beauty business? Well, a lot of designers this year have actually come off the runway and moved over to beauty. Earlier this year, Prabal Gurung did a collaboration with Sally Hansen where he did some nail wraps inspired by the pattern on his Spring 2012 runway. Now the king of all designers, Karl Lagerfeld, he's also in on this trend, what's he up to? Karl is actually working with Shu Uemura to create a a line of beauty products this fall. It's all inspired by Japanese manga art and it's sure to be colorful and high fashion. This isn't Charlotte's first foray into beauty as well, right? No, actually Charlotte Ronson already has a beauty line at Sephora, and it includes things as like texturing spray for that perfect beach hair and body glow as well, since we spend a lot of time in the office. We actually caught up with Charlotte after her fall 2012 show and she spoke about some of this ski influence so it's really interesting to see designer translate something directly from the runway onto a product. It's not only about the creams that are inside your beauty packaging but your beauty packaging is just as important, just as high fashion and I'm looking forward to seeing more collaborations like this. It's like you can accessorize with your beauty products. Of course. Well, thank you so much, Jessica. I'm Allie Merriam. Thanks for watching PopSugar TV.
