Christmas is right around the corner, and with Christmas comes the start of a new year. Here is a makeup look you can try to ring in the new year with.

I first groomed my brows with a brow brush, and then I applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow ($20) in number 3 with an angled brush. To clean up around my brows, I line them with MAC Pro Longwear Concealer ($19) with a flat liner brush and blend the product for a seamless finish.

Before applying eye makeup, I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden ($20). Using a copper or gold pigment, wet a flat shadow brush with MAC Fix+ ($21) and apply that pigment to your eyelid. I used Gosh Mineral Waterproof Eyeshadow in Copper ($17). Then, with a blending brush, use a dark plum red shadow. I used the darkest shadow in the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Plush Quad Mad For Mauve ($5, originally $10). I applied that shadow to my crease with a Sedona Lace brush, and then blended the shadow using windshield wiper motions.

Once that shadow is blended, use a cranberry shadow and apply that to your crease as well. I used MAC Eye Shadow in Cranberry ($15). Next, use chocolate brown shadow above your crease to blend out the other two shadows even more. Using MAC Eye Shadow in Swiss Chocolate ($15), blend the shadow above the Cranberry shade. Blend Swiss Chocolate up almost to your brow bone, and then use the lightest shade in the Maybelline palette, a shimmery pink, to your brow bone and blend. Next, I used a dark brown and a bronze shadow from the BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette 2nd Edition ($18, originally $50), and I apply those two colors to the outer corners of my eyes and my crease with a blending brush from Makeup Geek. You can also go back and do a little touch-up of the Cranberry and Copper shadows.

Apply gel liner in a winged style. You can make your liner as thin or thick as you like — mine is thick because I also applied false lashes. I used Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner Blackest Black ($10).

Once my eye makeup was done, I applied L.A. Girl HD Concealer in Toffee ($3) using the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush ($18). I set my concealer with Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder ($26) and a setting brush. I lightly contoured my face and nose using Love & Beauty By Forever21 Bronzer, and I highlighted my nose, chin and forehead with the Toffee concealer. I just used my ring finger to blend the product into my skin.

Back to the eyes, I curled my lashes using an eyelash curler and applied L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes in Carbon Black ($9) to my upper and lower lashes.

I used my current favorite blush, MAC Blush in Ambering Rose ($21). And for my lips I used two products: BH Cosmetics Crème Luxe Lipstick Moody Merlot ($8) with MAC Lip Glass Strawberry Malt ($15) on top. To finish the look, I applied my favorite pair of lashes, Velour Lashes in Doll Me Up ($30).

And that completes the look! Have a happy and safe New Year!
