Taking a cue from Proenza Schouler's lipstick for Lancome, Cynthia Rowley is about to launch a limited-edition line of cosmetics with Avon. Standouts include a blush stick ($8), nail enamel ($4), lip gloss ($4.50) and finishing powder ($10). The products aren't ready for purchase yet, but you can sign up for a reminder e-mail at Avon.com.

I know some of you think Avon is corny, but it seems as though the company is working to shed that perception. By bringing Reese Witherspoon on as a "brand ambassador" and working with Cynthia Rowley, it's bound to draw new customers. What do you think? Is this a budget-friendly hit, or a dorky miss?

I definitely like the newer products they've come out with. And I definitely like them more than MaryKay. They have a new mascara with that rubber brush like the CoverGirl mascaras, and I'm dying to try. I'm excited about the Cynthia Rowley line and will be trying some of it, for sure.

Avon products are pretty damn good. Folks still have this image of Avon as not being modern and thats so far from the truth. You get the same science behind the products that the Department store brands do, but without the costs. I love, love, loveee the mark Glow Baby Glow Lipgloss in Pink Crush. Its universally flatering. Their Glimmesticks are fantastic... they don't drag on the eyelids. I use the Anew Clinical Eye Lift, now that I'm getting older **faint**. And the African Shea Butter Brown Sugar Scrub to DIE for.

I am not a big Avon fan but these are adorable. I did buy some of their new nail polish stick on thingys, haven't tried them yet but if they work I will be so happy! Everytime I polish my toes myself one my kids steps on my big toe before it dries....never fails!

I think they are moving in a different direction. They have already had some good products in the Jillian Dempsey collection. She also gives makeup advice in the avon and mark catalogs.

These colors are really nice (except maybe the nail polish, i dont think i'd use that shade) But I've never really had a problem with Avon, they're not the BEST obviously, but the eyeliners are great, and I've tried some of the skincare products and they're not bad. This line looks very cool though, I'll definitely have to check out the eyeshadow, it will go very well with green eyes. :D

i used to think AVON was pretty corny - and while i don't think that anymore, i still haven't tried their products. the skincare line seems to get some good mentions, but i don't see the makeup earning reviews. the prices are reasonable though, so one day - i will give it a whirl.

This collection looks really nice. I happen to like Avon it's amazing what it did for women when they first started. They have been around forever and yeah, they need to make some updates but it looks like they are well on their way.

avon is great for basics even though it does have that older women stigma. i've been using their moisture rich cream for years and you can't beat their prices!

I don't know where all the flak is coming from re: Avon. Avon is great and has real quality products. Some of their products are on Allure's list of best products. And just because something is really expensive doesn't make it a better product. Fine with me...just leaves more Avon products for those that like quality products. Oh and I've tried Mary Kay and broke out like crazy. Just my personal experience.
