Base: Bare Lips

Those with dry lips like me, fret not. you can wear Maybelline Water Shine 3D Collagen by itself without any lip balm. I think I wanna rock this for New Year's. What do you think?

I like to wear one color and then put a lighter glossier color on my lower pout. That's an easier way to get a two-toned lip look without worrying about it blending/smudging.

a little late.. but i actually think it looks great. so what if it's impractical? haha. if u like it u should go for it. i wouldnt mind trying it out too.

I almost always use more or darker lipstick on the upper lip. I thought this was a well-known makeup trick?

wow, this looks cool and if the 2 color dont differ too much i.e. a subtle difference i think it would be very wearable.

A little off topic, but I'm just curious about the Maybelline lipstick...is that something that has been on shelves, or is it a new product that has yet to be released? I would loooove to try it, it looks very moisturizing, perfect for chapped winter lips :\

thanks for the feedback and opinions! but i ended up with just the top colour for both lips because i was in a rush. & since there are so many objections, i shall discard the whole idea. :/ HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I agree with most - different and would maybe do, keeping them separate is a whole nother story, I believe this works better in print than in real life. Some super-duper lipstick sealer may help until you eat something oily. It would look cute on my hubby's lips after I kissed him. Happy New Year!

For New Year's, I think it's cute and different. If you press your lips together, you'll just eventually end up with an all-over, in-between color. I wouldn't wear it to work or anything, though. :)

Do you never, ever press your lips together?It's totally wackadoo. You're going to end up with gloss half way down the bottom lip and red halfway up the top lip.
