You would be shocked how healing and concealing a light dusting of matte powder is. Suddenly skin appears more even and subtly velvety. Use a sponge or fluffy brush to apply, and remember to go into the hairline if your hair is pulled back. If your skin is acting badly, you can use a pigmented powder.

To just zap shine without the extra pigment, I like to use a low- or no-pigment touch up powder, like MAC's Blot Powder ($23).
