Do You Hang Out With Your Stylist?

A few years back, most of you said it's talent, not personality, that keeps you coming back to your hair stylist. But when it comes to actually forming a bond with your stylist, are you actually so close that you even hang out socially?

I tried to be friendly with a stylist, but she turned into a scary stalker! She started by texting frequently, asking when I was making my next appointment, the put messages online and finally got mad and went crazy with obscene texts when I moved out of state and needed to "move on". The icing on the cake is when I found out she wasn't licensed. Lesson learned. This certainly isn't the rule, but I won't get overly close to a stylist again.

My stylist is one of my closest friends - I've known her 7 years (since I moved to Atlanta), and our group of friends are all connected because she started as our stylist!

I'm a very social person, but there are people in your life that you shouldn't get too close to. One, your stylist. One bad snip or mistake in the mixing room, and that relationship is OVER. I have had several stylists in my life, and I have to feel comfortable with leaving them if they aren't doing a good job, and not feel like I'm losing a friend. That's just me. I like the girl who cuts my hair, but I would never cross that line. She want's to set me up with her brother, and I keep declining. I keep her at arms length on purpose.

my stylist is this wonderful man who is a friend of my moms from when they were kids in israel... hes the only person who has ever cut my hair in my 24 years of life! but... i dont think i would ever hang out with him too much of a generation gap, especially cuz hes straight

I used to go shopping and eat sushi with my manicurist/esthetician. I still miss her :( she moved
