Do You Tend to Stick With One Line of Products?

When it comes to beauty products, how much does brand loyalty play a part in your choices? My shower can look like a mini-drugstore due to the line of work I'm in, but when it comes down to it, I tend to stick with one brand of shampoo, conditioner, and styling products for my hair. As for makeup, it's a colorful mishmash of department store and bargain finds with a little of everything in between. What about you? Do you tend to mix and match your skin care? Are you mad for Maybelline? Cuckoo for Kérastase? Tell us all about it.

When it comes to my skin care products I definitely don't stick to one brand religiously. Your skin gets immune to products after some time so this causes me to always continue buying new products by different brands when I run out.

I'm a cosmetic junkie and love to try different brands, but usually find myself consistently using the same products. I love YSL blushes, Clinique and Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners, EL lipsticks and glosses, Redkin shampoo and conditioner are good. EL & Clinique face cleansers are great. Lancome's eye makeup remover works best for me.

I am a drugstore junkie, but Yes I do tend to stick to one line of products for hair, one for skin, and one for makeup. For my hair I've been through L'Oreal, Charles Worthington, and others. For skincare I used to be all Clinique, but that was when I had more money and more skin issues. Eventually I gradually, as products ran out, switched over to Aveeno. So of course I was excited when Aveeno came out with hair products! That's what I'm into for my hair right now.But I also like to try new things. I recently got a non-SLS shampoo from Burt's Bees and I want to try the Yes to Carrots skincare line. For makeup right now it's mostly L'Oreal, and a little Physician's Formula, but I've been through Clinique (back in the day) Neutrogena, Maybelline, and probably everything else available at drugstores!

I tend to switch around a lot. My face wash is Cetaphil, my moisturizer Aveeno, my make-up a total mishmash, and my hair products are whatever's on sale. I used to stick with one line for skin care, but it got too expensive, and I've found that my $3 facial bar has worked better than almost anything else I've tried.

I've never stuck to a single brand or product but have always been advised to do that. Changing and experimenting with products has not led me into a tight spot. After joining mySkin.com this has somewhat improved. Earlier I used to try everything but now I try only specific products that have been suggested by them considering my skin.

I enjoy trying out products from various natural lines. I do tend to have more products of one brand that I trust however I am always willing to test out others & find room for them.That said, when it comes to cosmetics and certain skin care items, I tend to stay close to one brand (right now that would be 100% Pure, Afterglow Cosmetics and Arcona). Hair care is a mix and match craze. Currently I am in love with John Masters Organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo w/ Conditioner (the scent of bourbon vanilla has me swooning. And the product works.) I am constantly switching products though, changing between 3-4 conditioners and shampoos.

I love trying new stuff; and I don't consider myself "brand loyal" but I always find myself ending up with Maybelline cosmetics and Olay moisturizers...lol

Sometimes i stick to one certain brand but if i see a new product that has good reviews i will usually get it to try it myself.

I mix it up. Sometimes a single brand would not agree with due to adding an ingredient that irritates me in one product.

in skincare, Im a total snob. my skin is so finicky, I stick to La Roche Posay. everything else, price and brand dont matter - whatever does the best job.

I'm a little bit of a snob now that I've changed my shampoo to the more expensive kind. I've learned to avoid building product (or whatever) I need to switch things around so I have started using some old leftover conditioner and my husband's shampoo but mostly I swear by my favorite. For make up and skincare I'm still searching for perfection so I guess no is my answer. I do believe that if one day I find the perfect skincare regime I will stick to it until my needs change.

I use the same brand of shampoo and conditioner. And I find myself gravitating towards very few brands when it comes to cosmetics, most of my eyeshadows are asian brands, while I stick to 3 different brands when it comes to lipstick - then I play with variety w/ their different sub-brands/lines.I only use foundation made by Kanebo or Shu Uemura (because the color and formulation works for me) and I use Olay Total effects as a moisturizer.

Shampoo and conditioner I tend to stick to one, maybe two brands. Make up and skin care I kind of mix up...tend to stick to brands I have found I like.

no.. im big on testing like, everything new that comes out. i have to say that drugstore wise, i like loreal the best in general.

EVERYTHING in my shower is from Lush, and I use a simple Olay suncreen moisturizer for my face because I have easy skin.

I used to have a "Graveyard" of products under my sink - the products I bought that turned out to be too greasy or dry or just didn't do anything to help, but I couldn't force myself to through them away because of the money I spent! Now, I've found one brand that I LOVE and don't have to waste my time or money. My skin glows with no more breakouts and the wrinkles took a hike.

I have a variety of brands for make up and skin care. I used to stick with matching shampoo and conditioner but because I got my hair straightened I have to use a sulfate free shampoo and had just bought conditioner from a different brand, so far no problems with mixing. I mix up drugstore and department store brands and price points.

I always buy shampoo and conditioner that "match" but other than that, I have a huge variety of stuff.

I have my favorite products, but I'm not loyal to one brand. Once in a while I try something new hoping I've stumbled across a miracle product (no miracles yet).

I try not to be a snob, but when I find something that works I try to stick with the line. I really do feel like the products work better together. For example with my skincare, I found that I loved my Kiehls facial wash, which led me to get a toner and moisturizer from the same brand. So far (knock wood) my skin looks great. Keeping with the same brand does make restocking a bit easier and it does make it a bit easier to find a replacement when a product is discontinued.

I'm definitely not a brand snob, as some people say. My shampoo and conditioner are from the same line, but nothing else is. I stick with what I have for hair products in the shower because my back breaks out with most shampoo's and conditioner's. Otherwise, I have products from numerous brands.

i used to stick to shampoo/conditioner duos, but now as i'm more educated on the subject of beauty science (thank you love thebeautybrains.com) i buy whatever i want and don't care. all my moisturisers don't match my face washes and toners. neutrogena is great for spot treatments, but all other stuff is like acid for my skin - too strong. i stick to gentler brands like Simple and La Roche-Posay
