Do You Stop Grooming Your Bikini Line When You're in a Long-Term Relationship?

TMI, maybe, but I heard two women in Starbucks yesterday having a pretty serious conversation about this, so I thought I'd ask. When you've been dating someone for a while, do you find yourself being more laid-back when it comes to certain areas?

I would love to have laser done too. It will probably be my first big investment once I find a good permanent job. My neighbor had it done and swears by it.

Heck no! I do it for me I like the way it feels to be smooth year round. I've been doing it so long I get razor burn if i DON'T shave. Plus the hair down there can soak in odor and sweat and I like to feel clean and fresh.

On a related point, I would love to have lazer removal, and lose it all for good. If anyone has experience of this, good or bad, could they drop me a PM please?

I'm shaved smooth regardless of who I'm with or the time of year. I don't shave for anyone else, I do it for me. The only hair on my body is on my head. Oh, and it also increases sensitivity (shhhh!!!!).

i'm actually opposite..when i'm single i'm a little more lax with the downstairs grooming, and when i'm in a relationship i bring my a-game at all times.

Depends on the guy. I've had relationships with men who are big fans of the natural look, as well as men who appreciate (and show that appreciation with oral sex, yay!) a groomed bikini area.If anything, I get lax about grooming when I'm single and not looking for a relationship.

I voted "natural" because he doesn't seem to care one way or the other, so most of the time I just go natural. He will giggle if he notices I've done some grooming, and he'll chuckle if he notices I, uh, haven't. And of course he doesn't do ANY manscaping, and I don't care.So anyway, if I do the occasional grooming, it's for me, not him. Usually only when I'm gonna be wearing a bathing suit, I get rid of the hairs that would otherwise be showing.

I'm in the same camp -- I do it for him as much as for myself. Let me put it this way -- my husband is VERY visual (as many men are). My husband enjoys looking over every inch of me -- up close. That's how he is, so you bet, I maintain myself, especially in certain areas.

Heck no I don't stop, and I'm engaged. I like keeping myself up, for both myself and for him - also, it helps that I sprung for laser hair removal so there's really no effort keeping hairless anymore!

This reminds me of the Sex and the City movie when they are on vacation and Miranda's "situation" is exposed. There is no excuse for that. I'm with Skigurl on this -- relationship or not, everything must be groomed. I wax every three weeks, laser my underarms, and shave my legs at least once a week. I'm groomed and I expect my man to be the same way.

No! For one, I do it for myself as much as for my boyfriend, since I hate body hair. For another, I do think it's rude to stop taking care of yourself just because the other person loves you.

A year after meeting my significant other, i got hair removal for my legs and yes also down there. so now, i am lazy but clean..

When I'm dating, I am very particular about keeping my legs/lady parts nice and neat. When in a serious relationship, I get a little more relaxed. I'm always more worried in the summer, so like everyone else said..it's a seasonal thing.

I can be a little lazy about my legs (I have blonde leg hair, so I can slide!), but defiantly not down there. I mean c'mon ladies no guy wants to meet a bush. Just saying!
