I've loved this stuff since it first came out, and if there's a drugstore product that deserves a post, it's this one. Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Nail Polish ($5) has, on many an occasion, saved me from losing my mind waiting for polish to dry and ruining an entire manicure out of sheer frustration.
When I looked in my drawer this morning, I had seven bottles of the stuff, ranging from bright, sunny yellow to teal to perfect French-tip cream. I'm not saying they have the most gorgeous colors, because they're not all that special, but for five bucks and only two minutes for fully dry hands, this stuff absolutely can't be beat. This is my day-to-day nail polish. Sure, I might throw on something luxe, beautifully hued, and boring as all get-out to wait on when a new episode of True Blood is on and I'm going to be glued to the couch anyway, but Insta-Dry is what keeps me a happy and productive member of society. Thanks, Sally.

I've been eying this polish for a while. I need a fast drying polish b/c I always seem to smudge. Thanks, Bella!
1Brilliant!
2I always wondered how well this worked. Thanks Bella!
3I have a lot of this polish. The colors (while not the most unique) are really creamy and rich. Just use a shiny topcoat and they look great for a long time. I'm one of those people who always realizes at 9 PM that my nails look awful and do a last minute paint job- this polish does dry pretty quickly. I never wake up with my pillow pattern pushed into the color (that's my quick- drying test).
4I've never tried this particular Sally Hansen product, but I love the extreme wear line. My manicure lasts for sooo long without chipping (at least a week or more) when I use it and they have great colors in the line also. I'll have to check out the insta-dry line as well.
5I have the emerald green color of this brand. Love it to pieces!
6LOL @ "Insta-Dry is what keeps me a happy and productive member of society".
Ghaaaah, we don't have Sally Hansen where I live X(
7I just hope this polish is not like the formula they put in their Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen - that is some horrible polish.
8I had a bad experience with this polish - it all peeled right off every single finger the very next day! Maybe it was a bad batch?
9However, I freaking LOVE the brush on it.
i only have one of these and it is a shimmery blue, i forget the name. it dries quick and i love the brush, i would buy more but i just bought about 14 polishes from transdesign.
10Hopefully it wears better than the HD line. I love the colors in the HD line, but the polish chips easily even with a topcoat.
11I don't have a high opinion of most Sally Hansen polishes, but I've found the Xtreme Wear line to be the best, it is very shiny, and last a lot longer than the other lines, oh and it is half the price!
12I'm not a big fan of this stuff, it goes on my nails weird and then seems to clump together. To get my nails done fast I just put a L'Oreal fast dry top coat on them and they are dry in a couple of minutes.
13I just bought a bottle of this nail polish in Pronto Purple (or something similar to that). It looks great on my toenails!
14Ooh, I love quick drying nail polish. I always ruin my manicures when I get tired of waiting. Thanks!
15I love this stuff in #24 Night Flight. Deep, dark, opaque, shiny black in two coats to rival OPI. Lasts pretty well too w/a base and top coat. Great value for the price.
16I only do my toes, and this stuff rocks. I get a nice job, with neat edges, and it lasts. The wide brush is especially awesome. The colors are okay--I like the reds, and I just got the Cinnamon Snap, which looks like a dark blood red.
17In the Hints from Heloise section of my local newspaper, I saw an article about how massaging a drop of colorless iodine on each fingernail for one week, and then applying the iodine once weekly thereafter, and it was supposed to help make fingernails a lot stronger. You can't use too much of the colorless iodine though because if you use too much, it can dry out your nail bed.
18I have always been a believer in Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails products because they truly do add some strength to my weak nails. I guess that I must have worn artificial nails for too long because I have to keep something fairly reliable on them to keep my nails from breaking so easily.
And Sally Hansen Hard as Nails is as good of a product as I've ever found. It's been around for a long time and it seems to work pretty decently for me.
Thanks for sharing this tip and I hope there is some truth from the Hints to Heloise article that I've posted here. First I have to find the colorless iodine... it isn't available at all pharmacies so I have to shop around. Whatever you do, do not use regular iodine in a bottle. It is a dark, rusty red color and it will stain your fingernails! Since I haven't tried the colorless iodine application yet, I don't know if it works or not but I found it to be an interesting and inexpensive tip for strengthening nails.
ola como faço pra comprar esse esmalte ...
19I wanted a funky color that would pop and I got "lightening" which is bright yellow. I love it. I just bought it tonight and it dried SUPER fast. Not sure if it will last or not, but I don't care. For the price and the color, I love it. I agree, love the big brush!
