Drew Barrymore Gives Us a Lesson in Color Theory

At the Chanel dinner celebrating her new book, Drew Barrymore played with her color palette, wearing orange lipstick and teal eye shadow . . . at the same time. Usually we would caution against mixing such bold colors, but Drew chose two complementary shades that meld well (complementary meaning they are opposites on the color wheel). You can shop similar lip and eye combinations below, or you can choose your own. Gold and purple are another matching pair, or mix a red lipstick with a jade eyeliner. Of course, this makeup-line creator would be daring with her color choices, and Drew is inspiring us to test out all the colors of the rainbow.
