The brand's Lip Venom and the new Twilight line may get all the attention, but DuWop has a pretty extensive product range, including this White Peach IcedTeas Lipstick ($19). Reader Roxymyworld likes it, and she has some good advice for getting the most out of the product. She says:
This is a bright, kind of pop-shiny lipstick, so it's not going to give you a wet, luscious look, and you have to pat it on and spread it smooth slowly to get it to give you the amount of color you want. It's a nice shade for a night out, though, or if you're going to the dance club with your friends. It has a light, delicious fruit scent. Overall, It's a very nice product. I would recommend it for mid-tan to dark-tan (or around there) skin tones. "

Well, that was fast. As reported earlier this week, cosmetics brand DuWop is releasing a Twilight-themed lip plumper — but instead of waiting until the Autumn release of New Moon, it's coming out now. Lip Venom V ($16) is available for pre-order, with packages shipping next week. The package contains a combination lip stain and plumper, all the better to look vampy. According to DuWop:
This product should be shaken before use to represent the blending of the human and vampire worlds and applied repeatedly until lips are plumped, revitalized and the desired intensity of color has been reached.
Oddly, the packaging reminds me less of a bloodsucking dreamboat and more of Angelina Jolie wearing Billy Bob's blood in a vial back in the day. And last time I checked, the blending of the human and vampire worlds resulted in a bloody death. But for the 700 zillion Twihards out there, details like that are unlikely to stop them from buying. Will you be one of them?
Vampire fevah is going nowhere, and if you don't like that, too bloody bad. Hot on the heels of this amazing Buffy-meets-Edward video mashup comes the news that Twilight may be landing at a cosmetics counter near you. Grazia reports that DuWop, the makeup sponsor of New Moon, is set to reveal a line of vamp-themed cosmetics. Central to the collection is a variation on the company's famous Lip Venom lip plumper. Apparently, one-half of the plumper will be tinted red (to look like blood, natch). Applying it could mean that your lips will be almost the same shade as Robert Pattinson's — a move sure to send Twihards squealing.
