The Elizabeth Arden brand has been around for decades, but it'll be trying something new this season by naming its first-ever style director. Fashion designer Shoshanna Gruss will fill the role, which includes being a spokeswoman and ambassador as well as designing product for the iconic beauty brand. Gruss was born and raised in Manhattan, which fits right into Elizabeth Arden's New York heritage. She started her clothing line, Shoshanna, in 1998 and has since expanded the brand nationwide. Leave it to Elizabeth Arden to sidestep the typical celebrity or model route for someone more representative of the brand's legacy, a female entrepreneur. Gruss is already slated to create an exclusive cosmetic bag for the brand in late 2014, and we can't wait to see what else comes from this exciting new partnership.
Elizabeth Arden's cult favorite Eight Hour Cream has been around since the 1930s, but recently a new Intensive Lip Repair Balm ($33) was added to the Eight Hour lineup. Nestled in this portable jar are shea butter and arnica flower oil, which combine to bolster the moisture in your lips. But what has us most impressed is this product's staying power. Hours after applying the menthol-infused balm, you'll be surprised to find your lips are still supple and soft. While the instructions recommend overnight use, consider it an all-day essential to kiss chapped lips goodbye.
For colder, drier weather, make night cream an essential in your prebedtime skin care routine. And best of all, these heavy-duty hydrators work double-time while you catch your beauty sleep. Watch to see which three night creams will not only leave your skin moisturized, but also give you flake-free skin the next day. On Kirbie: Club Monaco dress.

If you've been struggling to remove your pool-proof mascara or lip color lately, listen up: Elizabeth Arden All Gone Eye and Lip Makeup Remover ($16) is your saving grace. The formula has two phases — one for dissolving, and one for hydrating — that act quickly and gently to remove even the most stubborn waterproof makeup without leaving an oily residue. Just make sure to give it a good shake in order to combine the layers of ingredients.
Recently, after I spent a long day (and night) wearing waterproof liquid eyeliner, mascara, and hot pink lipstick, a few drops of All Gone on a cotton pad did the trick, and quickly. Never mind that your lip color is transfer-proof; All Gone can cut through it with zero problem. It's unscented, leaves no traces of makeup, and doesn't require any tugging — so you won't lose lashes in the process.
Elizabeth Arden is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and they're launching a new campaign to introduce their iconic Red Door scent to a new generation of women. I don't feel adult enough to wear Red Door just yet, but I do love the creamy red lipstick and soft eye makeup look from the ad campaign. To find out how to replicate it, just keep reading.
Summer Fridays just got sweeter. Elizabeth Arden is now celebrating the best time of the year by holding a beauty sale every Friday. Discounted products change weekly, shaving 30 percent or more from original prices. Look for occasional free shipping promotions, too.
Today's your chance to replenish your makeup staples, skin treatments, or try a new fragrance. But remember, this is just a seasonal bargain — and sale items and promotions change week to week — so be sure stop in on your way to the weekend.
