Tousled buns have been all over red carpets as of late, and here's Katie Holmes getting in on the trend. But what's striking about Katie's overall look is its minimalism. In lieu of accessories galore and tons of sparkle, Katie has opted for a simple, straight, tank-style gown, with nary an earring or bangle in sight. A touch of smoky shadow and a skinny gold belt add a bit of elegance to her royal blue frock. Are you digging Katie's look?

Not loving it. Dress is kind of boring and doesn't fit right, and the hair is kind of a wreck.

I agree with the above comments about how her hair and make-up is gorgeous but the dress is just ill-fitting. The colour on her is fab though!

The dress is alright, it is a step up from a lot of her red carpet looks. Makeup is also good, not too overdone.That hair though...it's an exact replica of how I wear my hair to the grocery store. Too sloppy for a red carpet.

i agree w/ Louie, her dress doesn't fit right atthe arm pit. very odd cut. like a sports bra. not flattering. she had her "dead" look on tonight.

Hair and makeup and the colour of the dress are all perfect, but it either doesn't fit properly or doesn't fall right. Shame.
