Is this Etsy Chignon Holder Really Wearable?

Would You Wear This Fancy Metallic Chignon Holder?

Looking around on Etsy, I spotted this fancy Solar Trinity Chignon ($45), which describes itself as a "solar bronze Celtic knot" that "holds up masses of long hair in Renaissance style." My first thought was "oh, pretty", and then "it looks... poke-y." Would you lock your hair up in a fancy design like this, or would you be afraid it would get stuck in there and do some damage?

I would! A chignon is lovely on its own but this is a simple/nice way to spice it up while not being too drastic.

I'd totally wear it, metal hair accessories are hard to come by but the only material I haven't managed to break (in my hair) is metal. Metal is win.

I think it's pretty and on the back of your head I would say it's fairly safe from damage. I don't just bump/rub my head against any ole thing. Of course its to big for my hair though, maybe when it gets longer.

I wouldn't wear it... I like the chignon on it own more than with the ornament.

I'd absolutely wear it. I'm a hair accesory junky. I wear my hair up all the time in either a chignon or french twist. I love ornate combs and decorative pins, etc.

The hair ornament is beautiful and celestial-looking - but - it would bo too heavy for my hair

I think it looks very beautiful, but being a student and all, I would hate to dish out $45 for something I couldn't wear in a 8 am class because everyone else is in sweat shirts and flip flops.
