The jolie Eva Green took a cue from her fellow Frenchwoman Marion Cotillard by wearing smoky eyes to a movie premiere. But at last night's premiere of The Golden Compass, she opted for bold, matte red lips. Mixing these two dramatic looks can be tricky, even for a movie star. Do you think she pulls it off?

I really like this look on her...Eva always takes chances on her clothing and make up and she pulls it off.

i don't know why, but i have something against bright red lips. i dunno, it just brings to mind little old ladies trying to compensate for wrinkles and stuff by smothering themselves in lipstick. i do love dramatic eyes though, especially jewel tones

I love how she is quite gothic in a glamourous way. But I would like to see her looking more natural for a change.

I hate it, I hate her ! She might be french, i might be french, that doesn't make my hate for her less powerful. She's so pretentious and everything. AND - she's not that beautiful. The makeup could have been nice with eyes a little less bold.

I absolutely love it in that it's a bold, dramatic look only a French woman could get away with. She sizzles! On anybody else it would be too much.

Shes's such a beautiful woman, but I've always thought there's something wrong with the way she wears her eye makeup. It always looks...dirty or something. I think it's too much, even for her.

it's reminiscent of old hollywood when they went with dramatic eyes AND a strong lip. i know that these days, you're 'supposed' to only play up one of those, but i think it works on her. however, her face seems to be two different tones - her forehead and cheeks don't match.
