Eye Shadow Color Combinations For Fall

All The Colors You Need to Reboot Your Eye Makeup For Fall

Summer eye palettes are filled with pastels and fluorescents, but now it's time to dim the brights for Fall. In addition to swapping your foundation and lipstick, give your eye makeup a changeup. Check out these eye-catching color pairings to update your shadow collection this season.

Navy blue and gray: Now is the time to return to a classic smoky eye, but to avoid the harshness that comes with too much dark shadow, try a navy blue instead. Bring out the true smoke with gray tones to accent, and complete with a nude lipstick or even an intense matte red.

Purple and brown: Purple in any shade is spot-on this season. Try using a deep eggplant mixed with browns for nighttime. Or if you're still craving the neons of Summer, opt for a more electric version of the hue with blue-based colors. Just a bit of gloss will do with this aubergine eye.

Green and gold: Select a hunter tone over the teal and emerald colors from last season, lightening the look up with a hint of metallic gold in the inner corners. Pair this vibrant style with a swipe of mocha lipstick.

Champagne and orange: If you're planning to go with the dark lipstick craze, keep eyes luminous with champagne-hued shadows. To add depth, accentuate with perfect-for-Fall burnt oranges or bronzes.

Red and black (mascara, that is): Red eye shadow stands out all on its own. Be sure to couple it with a black mascara, however, to ground the daring, on-trend look.
