I love that scene in splash, too-- on another mermaid note, there was Aquamarine where a boy bursts in the bathroom, and another girl has to hold her breath underwater and be the mermaid's feet. (He can't see the fins!)

Nice one! Although the most memorable bath scene for me is Sharon Tate in Vampires Ball (sp) - as a kid all I could think of was "whoah I want that girl's hair".

When I was little I loved the bath scene in Splash where Daryl Hannah added salt to her bath water and then turned into a mermaid. I tried adding salt to my bath after seeing that but I never managed to grow a fish tail...:(
