'Tis the season of receiving lots of invites to Thanksgiving and holiday gatherings, and since my mom always told me I should never come to a party empty-handed, it's time to start thinking hostess gifts. Decorative, sweet-smelling soaps and presents to pamper dishpan hands are always a great go-to, but why not get your hostess something a little little more wild or daring — something she wouldn't normally purchase for herself, like an out-of-the-ordinary hair accessory, trendy matte or glittery nail polish, or a festive makeup kit? Also, I'm all for gifting classic makeup items that your hostess will wear not just for the holidays, but throughout the year. See what I mean below:
