FiFi Awards the Fragrances of the Year
Last night, beauty editors, celebrities, and cosmetics executives gathered in New York to celebrate the FiFi awards. It's often called the Oscars of the fragrance industry, which says as much about its prestige as it does about who's honored. It's rare to see small perfumes win Fragrance of the Year; instead, the Fragrance Foundation gives awards to scents with broader distribution. (So in that case, it really is like the Oscars!)
The women's fragrances of the year are Daisy Marc Jacobs, Intimately Beckham Women, Prada Infusion d'Iris, and Christian Lacroix Rouge (created with Avon). Do you think these perfumes deserved the honors? I personally can't understand the wild popularity of Daisy Marc Jacobs — it just doesn't do anything for me — but it looks like this scent is just getting bigger and bigger.
