Met Gala: Florence Welch

Florence Welch continues to prove that her style is just as angelic as her vocals — the songstress sported a truly impressive and avant-garde gown from Alexander McQueen's Fall '12 collection that made a real impact on the red carpet. One look at Florence in this dress, and it's hard to imagine it on anyone else. The ethereal gown looked amazing once it hit the flashbulbs, and it's the kind of out-of-the-box, quirky outfit choice that we expect to see at the Met Gala. The gown was embroidered with tiers of organza, and Florence kept things otherwise simple with armadillo-heeled platform sandals and a signature skull-adorned McQueen clutch. Over the past four years, bighearted beauty brand Kiehl's has been partnering with various charitable organizations in honor of Earth Month. And for 2012, the company is linking up with Recycle Across America (RAA), a nonprofit that works to make recycling easier for the masses. In fact, 100 percent of the profits (up to $100,000) from the sale of its limited-edition Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masques ($23) will go to RAA so that select schools throughout the US can strengthen their recycling programs.

Better yet, four stars — Florence Welch, Rosario Dawson, Mark Ruffalo, and Spike Lee — have designed earth-inspired packaging for these masks, made with fair-traded Amazonian white clay. Like what you hear? You'll like these celebrities' do-good artwork, too. See it in detail now.
