As soon as I saw this pic posted on FB I knew immediately it was the uber fabulous Romero even though I have not seen him in 15 yrs.!!! When my daughter started high school in NYC (1996), I knew she was incredibly creative & like all teens would want to wear makeup every day. I didn't want her detracting from her amazing facial features while not having the expertise to play up a feature that was not as pronounced but can easily be transformed with proper makeup application techniques. For a Christmas gift I took her to Bendel's where MAC had a large salon-like space and purchased a makeup application, an application instruction session & the MAC makeup for her. Romero was the makeup artist that taught her like a pro! I cannot even begin to describe the tricks & techniques he taught her. Every girl would beg her to do their makeup for years! I had Romero do my makeup for two special celebrations & I swear I looked like a model & yet it was not fake or ridiculous looking at all! I have recommended Romero to dozens of moms & young women. Romero is a sweetheart & a genius! I still talk about him glowingly quite often to this day; he has the gift of making you feel so comfortable, he is patient, & he possess a personality that is infused with fun & humor combined with the creative talent one would need to work on a haute couture team yet he is able to translate that to everyday, simple, natural looks to glamour personified & anything in between!
