Geometric prints were a huge trend on the fall 2012 runway, so why not add that graphic inspiration to your nail art? Learn how to incorporate this style into a chic yet easy to do manicure in today's how-to. To get started you'll need four polish shades, a base color, two shades to outline your triangle, a color for the triangle and then of course a clear top coat.
And I like this pallet because it incorporates darker colors with one bright pop-up color. Before you start outligning your triangles you wanna make sure you put down your base coat on your nails with a base polish color. You need a thin nail brush. And I took this from another nail polish and cleaned it was an acetone.
And the thin brush is just going to help you have precision and make those lines really clean when you create them. Take the color that you want your triangle to be and then just start outlining where you want your triangles to go. And they don't have to be perfect because you're gonna fill them in.
And then you're gonna outline them again with 2 other colors. So once you finish adding the first triangle to each Now, you're gonna go back and add different sizes of triangles just to give more dimension and a unique look to every single nail. Now that I've outlined all of my triangles. I'm gonna go back and fill them in with the same lavender color and I'm gonna make sure that they're completely dry before moving onto the next step.
After you've filled in your triangles and let them dry completely now kinda add a little pizzazz, and outline them. So there's this really nifty two-in-one nail polish from Revlon that I like. And I'm gonna use white just to brighten it up a little bit and then the line green to make it pop. So, I'm gonna start with white and go just go over your triangles.
So now that I've finished my white outline, I'm going to clean off my brush with some acetone and start with the green. When using your green, make sure that it's a thinner line than your white line. And the way I'm going to apply it is I'm just going to lightly coat it and then I'm going to bring it into the inside of the triangle.
If you notice that your green too thin, and the gray is showing from underneath, just go over it one more time. It'll make it look a lot brighter. So if your triangle is a little bit smaller, you're wondering how you're going to fit the green in, it's okay just to overlap it a little bit more with the white.
You want to make sure that your gray and lavender are showing through, though. Now that I have my triangle completely outlined, I'm going to wait for them to dry and then give them a clear top coat and I'll be ready to go. This manicure adds a little bit of edge to your wardrobe and you don't have to be a nail artist to make it look good.
