At last night's red-carpet premiere of One Day in New York City, Anne Hathaway wore a stunning Alexander McQueen dress with gold embroidery and kept her makeup simple — but still undeniably gorgeous. See which products she wore, and how to re-create her look for yourself, when you keep reading.
Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee was inspired by the structure of the McQueen resort collection gown and sought to give her a look that was "cute, young, and casual." For her face, Lee started with Chanel Perfection Lumière Long Wear Makeup SPF 10 (available in October), which she applied with a sponge.
On her eyes, Lee applied a purplish brown hue for definition — Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Antique Rose ($29). Then, she applied Chanel Intense Eye Pencil in Noir ($28) at the base of Anne's top and bottom lashes and inside her waterline for an "ink pot effect." Lee blended in Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Eyeshadow in Mirifique ($36) to the outer corner of Anne's lids, softening the cat-eye shape by blending a bit of color under the eye. She curled the lashes, then applied a few coats of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara ($30) for extra intensity. Anne's brows were "slicked into place" with Anastasia Brow Gel ($21).
Lastly, Lee defined Anne's cheekbones with Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium ($42) and finished the look with a hint of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Fetiche ($32) on Anne's lips.
