We're in Knots Over the Givenchy Braids for Fall 2014

If Pocahantas came from another planet instead of the New World, she would wear the beauty look spotted on the Givenchy Fall 2014 runway. Luigi Murenu pulled the models' skin taut using red tape at the temples, which was attached to a string that ran across the back of the head (antiaging secret or hair accessory, we're not quite sure). He then plaited the hair into two pigtails and knotted the pigtails together near the nape. This style is similar to the braids on the Marc by Marc Jacobs runway but much more futuristic.

Lead makeup artist Pat McGrath bleached eyebrows backstage and focused the look on a dramatic eye. The lids were a mix of pale pink and icy shadows with a squared-off brown accent in the crease and outer corners. The cheeks were also heavily contoured with taupe tones. Coming down the runway, the look was like Pocahantas 2.0, which is just as interesting as the bedazzled face masks from Spring 2014.
