What's Your Go-To Lip Color?

Jennifer Lopez is rarely seen without her signature muted pink lip gloss, while Gwen Stefani is known for her ability to rock a sexy red pout like no other. And while Maggie Gyllenhaal has tried out other shades, like the soft pink gloss she wore to the 2010 Costume Institute Gala last month, she doesn't seem to stray too far away from the bright cool-toned raspberry tone she's seen wearing here. Even though I'd consider myself to be experimental with my lip color choices, a subtly shimmery coral hue is what I reach for most often. How about you? What's your go-to lip color, and why do you love it so?

My fav is red lipstick. It attracts attention and really makes my lips stand out. I love it!!

I love rosy reds, somewhere in between fire-engine red and berry pink, with a frosty finish. My particular favorite is Revlon Moon Drops in Chinaglaze Red.

Sonia Kashuk USED to make one called Peach Blossom. That's the most amazing color in the world on me. I bought it on a total whim, back when I hated lipstick. Now, I have one lone tube left, and they stopped making it I guess. I guard it with my life and use it on special occasions, like photos. On the market now: Revlon Colorstay Top Notch Tulip

In warmer months, my go-to color is usually in the coral color family. It makes me look brighter and my teeth look whiter. Sometimes I reach for a heavier coverage(like Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Coral Crush) or a more subtle gloss (like L'Oreal Jelly Balm in Savory). In colder months, I nearly always reach for L'Oreal Jelly Balm in Luscious. Either that, or Black Honey... or a little of both :)

Cover Girl lip stain in Everbloom Kiss. It is just a nice wash of color that doesn't come off. I like it with a little lip balm on top.

My go-to color depends on, well, where I'm going to, but when all else fails I know MAC Viva Glam V gloss always looks good. It's a nude that doesn't make me look like a corpse, and I can wear it for just about any occasion.

My current fave is a pinky-plum from Lancome which I was told was discontinued. The hunt for the next lipstick is on.

i suit practically every shade of colour except those which are matt or frosted; my fave have been discontinued: labello caregloss&shine in a mauve taupe shade, l'occitane's tinted balm in blackberry and this orange lipgloss from Avon which I lost; the BodyShops lip and cheek stain is perfect for busy days

BodyShop Delipscious in the dark pink shade (I can't see any specific name or number on it, but it's the darkest pink there is) and I also used to love the Delipscious lipbalm in the orangey-shimmery shade, which gives a beautiful shine to your lips. I guess I should've tried more shades, but I couldn't afford to buy more. I love MAC lipsticks, but for everyday use, I use these practically ALWAYS.
