Would You Buy Gourmet Lipstick?

While dilly-dallying last night, I ran across a pretty funny website that detailed one woman's attempt to land on a reality TV show. The plan was to sell her idea for Gourmet Lipstick, a collection of flavored lipsticks.

The pitch:

When you go out for a fancy meal, you don't want your foie gras tasting like Bonne Bell. This is a line of delicious gourmet lipsticks with flavors to compliment the finest meals — so you taste as fabulous as you look! They might come in cinnamon, cardamom, thyme, rosemary, and a smoky bacon which I envision as a deep dark red and would definitely get you kissed.

She didn't make it on the show, but she did make me crack a smile. So just for fun, would you buy this product if it were real?

Don't get me wrong, I love my bacon, but WTF is she thinking-- smoky bacon lipstick?! There are many lip glosses out there right now that are flavored and flavored normal things, like fruits and flowers. There is no need for bacon or my goodness, thyme lipstick...

I'm odd girl out - I would love to try any of these. Make it a giveaway then I bet some of you would try it out. Bacon was my least fav but I'd still wear it out to breakfast.

Maybe with different flavors I would try it. I don't really care what it tastes like as long as it doesn't taste or smell bad. Smokey bacon seems like it would definitely get male attention.

I think I would only try the samples just to see what they've done with it. But I could never wear that everyday or every week.

Yeah, bacon kinda put it over the top for me. Merlot would be fine. But I'm happy with boring old Chapstick!

Haha I agree with rumpel2 - if they had been flavors like chocolate or even dessert wine, definitely! But those sorts of things tend to already be available in gloss form... Lipstick - or any lipstuff - that matches the flavor of your (non-dessert) food just seems a bit gross... I mean, bacon-breath? No thanks!
