Gwen Stefani Gets Painted... With Lipstick

Now this is something else. Painter Jon Ross normally works with media such as oil paints, pencil, and charcoal. But when it came time to paint a portrait of Gwen Stefani, he tossed his palette aside and whipped out a few Revlon lipsticks instead. And you know what? So here's Jon, paintin' away with his lipsticks. I have to say, if he's this controlled and artistic on a canvas, I'd love to see what he could do on an actual face. What do you think?

The picture turned out pretty cool, but something about the video itself was kinda creepy. And speeding it up would have been a lot better.

As an artist, I'd have to say it was okay. As a lover of Gwen Stefani, I'd have to say it looked nothing like her. As a person who has edited/made DVD movies, the transitions were over-the-top and appalling.

I loved it! It indeed is genius coming from an artist who is known to have used oil and other mediums normally in his work. Amazing work, hope he brings us more in the future!

that's pretty cool! i agree the editing is a little weird, but i thought the lipstick kiss signature was fitting.

For him to make the painting with lipstick for a woman known for her red lipstick is so awesome. I love it and it is a great thing since today is her 38th birthday.
