Hair Chalking Tips

Hey it's Kirbie with your Bella Beauty Beat. Last summer's hair feather is quickly being replaced by hair chalking. Recently, hair chalking's front and center as the latest do it yourself at home hair trends. Celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Jaime King, and Lauren Conrad are all making rainbow shades, one of the hottest looks for spring. Chalk gets you the look without the commitment. It's a temporary and affordable way to spice up your look, which is why it's becoming more and more popular. It's really easy to do at home. Using gloves, draw on your hair with a soft chalk pastel from the art store. All you do paint the strand of hair you want colored and try twisting it when you chalk to create a richer pigment. If you're blonde, there's no need to wet your hair before you apply the chalk If you're brunette you will need to spritz your hair with a little bit of water so the chalk will show up more vibrantly. Use a variety of colors to get an ecclectic look or use a stain shape for bright highlight. It washes out easily but I would try a test strand just in case. This look works best in an up-do or since the chalk can get on your clothes. And hair chalking may just be the beginning 'cause we even spotted it on a pair of legs.
