Happy Hairstyle Appreciation Day!

Yum always finds weird holidays. She'll be all, "Did you know that April is National Welding Month?" and all I can do is marvel at her encyclopedia knowledge. Yum pointed out that today is Hairstyle Appreciation Day.

It's a dubious holiday, to be sure, but I do have to say that I'm thrilled with the cute new cut I received from Christine Symonds. It's chic, sleek, and easy to care for. Best of all, I no longer look like Dee Dee Ramone with my old scraggly shag. So maybe there are reasons to celebrate. What's yours?

Bella, your cut is fabulous (and I'm not just saying that because I have a VERY similar cut LOL)! It looks gorgeous on you! I guess I celebrated this day inadvertently, because I got my haircut today, too (just to shape it up)! I adore my stylist -- kudos to her because no matter where I go, I have women ask me who does my hair. She and I "work" well together, and God help me if she ever leaves me LOL!

One thing I don't appreciate is that every hairstyle/cut I could ever want works best with straight hair and I like being low maintenance with my hair so having to straighten my hair a lot isn't something I necessarily want.

I usually have pretty good hair when I let it down from the messy bun. All I do is wash it, put in a tab of product and let it air dry and it comes out with glossy ringlets. I always appreciate that and I don't take it for granted.

Ooh Bella, can you share what your new cut looks like? I'm going through that tying all my hair up action again because I just don't want to deal with my hair. Mine is about shoulder length and wanting exactly what you described with your hair. Want something short, chic, but low maintenance.

I am sooo picky when it comes to my hair! My sister did it for years but when I moved I had to find a stylist in my area. Just so happens the first one I went to was perfect! He always gives me my money's worth! He's a color specialist and does I great job on my hair everytime I see him! If you live in Contra Costa or Alameda County I would most definitely refer you to him!! ~JO~

I just got my hair cut yesterday and got a bit of a change, I got some bangs. Unfortunately the bf doesn't really like it, but he'll get used to it, it's my hair and I like it (once I learn how to style it better!)

haze, I'm in the same boat as you, I've had really long hair for awhile and I keep thinking that I want to get it cut, but I can't decide how or how short. It's a big decision, and I just can't make it! :P

Hairstyle Appreciation Day! Okay. Congrats to you. Perhaps I will celebrate next year if/when I ever decide if I'm going to get my hair cut or not. And then there's the question of "How short?" and "What style?". It's a very weighty issue for me. You don't have hair down to the curve or your back and think it's not. Like I said, I'll celebrate next year [maybe] ;)
