Have you ever left the salon feeling not-so-fabulous about your cut or color? Maybe the blond was a little too yellow for your liking, or there was an obvious bleed mark in your fringe. Or perhaps it was just that your new cut wasn't cooperating with the texture of your hair, leaving you with a string of bad hair days.
As for me, most recently, it was the latter. I liked the shape of my cut, but for some reason, nothing else was cooperating. Since I wasn't completely satisfied, I called up and asked for a redo. Ah, much better. Have you ever phoned in a "part two" for your hairstyle?

Yes, but it was very hard to do. Twice I have asked my hairstylist (two different ones) to change my hair color.
1I moved 500 miles away from home after college and had to find a new stylist. I finally found one who could give me a decent cut and was able to get my baby fine hair to lay okay. I decided to let her try to color it and I gave her one piece of advice: My hair turns red very easily, you cannot add any gold tones to the color because my hair will turn out red. She told me she knew what she was doing and tried to color my hair a light brown. Well she didn't listen and it came out red. I left unhappy and after two days of looking at the red hair, I went back and had her do a red-removing wash and she had to recolor it brown.
After that incident, I stopped trying to find a stylist and would fly home to have my stylist of 8 years (and counting) continue to do my hair. I ended up transferring close to my home area and I'm much happier to see my hair stylist more often now.

3No, it was never so bad I couldn't just live with it or hide the damage with bobby pins or a ponytail.
4I have naturally really dark brown, almost black, hair and for a while in college I kept the under section a deep red color. I went to a different stylist once and she argued with me about it. She told me that it wasn't possible to get my hair that color and that it wouldn't look good. I should have left then, but I didn't and let her do her work... walked out with orange hair and an appointment with the head of the salon.
5Oh, I don't want people thinking I moved back just for my hair stylist! (Not that vain!) I wanted to be closer to my family since it was hard only seeing them a handful of times a year and my brother has a little girl now that I want to be a part of her life. Seeing my hair stylist more often was just a small bonus I realized after I had already moved home since she happens to be a friend that I love to just hang out with too!
6My sister took me to get a perm and colour as a birthday present last week...the colour barely turned out and the perm only lasted a few days. Went back to get it redone the other day but the result wasn't any better. I conclude that my hair is the problem, and not the hair stylist!
7It's been years ago, but noticed after I washed it that the sides were uneven so I went back to have them cut to the same length.
8Yes I once had my hair done at night and the lighting couldn't give me a true feel for the shade of blond I was at the time...the next morning highlighter yellow. I called them balling and had it fixed ASAP.
9i've gone back a couple times because they didn't cut my bangs short enough and i just wanted them to trim them up...but i didnt call or anything, i just dropped in
i feel so bad though doing it
10My hair was (artificially) a light brown and i wanted it just a little darker. Well the lady dyed it this purplish black. I was horrified. Next day I went by and spent the entire morning and afternoon getting it lifted out. Now I'm back to my original sunny blonde and I'm staying faaaar away from anything drastic
11Last November, I added reddish highlights to my already subtle-brown highlighted hair. Well, nearly $100 later, my hair looked nearly exactly the same. Luckilly, the salon had a policy that allowed me a redo.
12Yes, I have. Luckily, my stylist is also a very close friend, so when I called her the next day to tell her the highlights weren't as blonde as I wanted them, she fit me in over lunch to re-do the whole thing.
13Yes, one time a stylist turned my hair orange after I had told him it had a tendency to turn orange! It was a disaster. Usually I'm not one to complain but I was not walking around with orange hair!!
14I had a fringe cut into my hair yesterday. I might go back and have it neatened up, I get that it's supposed to be choppy but it's a bit too messy for my liking. Usually I'd just fix it myself but I'm not quite game enough to touch my fringe! D:
It looked awesome when I left the salon, but I washed my hair and it went curly.
15Oh, do I have a horror story! I have naturally light golden/reddish brown hair, so I can dye it lighter or redder and both look pretty flattering. A few years ago, back in college, I was home for a break and I wanted to go red, as I had done it before and it looked great. My normal stylist was busy and so this new stylist tried doing it. She said she had to put extra on the roots for some reason, and it started to burn. Little did I know that the burning sensation would be the least of my problems! When she dried my hair, the roots were VERY noticeably brighter than the rest -- and the color was as bright as Ronald McDonald's but a bit more orange. I don't cry easily, but I practically had to run out of the salon so that I could bolt to my car and sob because I didn't want the entire salon to see me bawling. When I came home, my mother shrieked. I called the salon later and one of the people I regularly see fixed it for the most part, but I still wore a hat for the next week to cover up the brighter roots. The woman was soon fired -- partially because of how terribly she screwed up my hair.
16yes...I asked for light blonde and got brown.
17Yep, once. I asked for bangs and the woman gave me a mullet.
18i have to most of the time i have thick long wavy hair
19Advah, I've had that happen too. I never had bangs again.
20I paid $120 for a haircut. I hated HATED how it was styled and I asked if he could re-style before I left. I left loving my hair and feeling like I had gotten my money's worth.
