Which Haircut Do You Prefer on Hayden Panettiere?

Petite Heroes star Hayden arrived at an Earth Day gala last night sporting a dramatically different new cut. We're used to seeing her with long blond hair, but she'd recently gone red and dark with her color, and now she's sporting a crop that reminds me a lot of Annette Bening's. She's got the bone structure to wear whatever cut she wants, but do you like her chop, or do you think she should have stuck with the long and flowing locks?

In fact I think a hair cut like this looks better on someone younger. It would look to severe on an older woman.

Hmmm I really like it. It goes with her facial feature. I think some people have a problem with the fact that it's more sophisticated in style. I'm 21 and I prefer sophisticated styles to more young/trendy things and I'm not dating anyone older. What's to say she's trying, maybe that is just her personal taste.

Just because she think she mature , doesn't mean she needs to do the mature hair cut. I don't know, sometimes it seems like she wants to look like a 40 year old.

she tries really hard to look older because the guys she dates are like 20 years older! i actually don't like the cut on her. i like the first pic better!

I can totally see why she chopped it off- with a gargantuan BF, being "cute" is more appropriate for his puppy or baby pix, not girlfriend: take it from me 5' 3", BF 6'5". She looks older and sophisticated, but still pixieish, plus not many people could pull off that haircut! Way to look hot with short hair, Hayden!

Definitely makes her look older and more sophisticated. I like this look on her! The rusty brown color also looks great on her! Hayden can definitely sport any kind of look. She's a really pretty young lady.

I prefer the longer style but I think it may be the influence of the earrings and the pose rather than just the hair. It can make a difference.

she has something of a hilary clinton vibe about her with the short hair, but it really enhances her amazing facial features

I'm so mesmerized by her eyes that I don't know if i'm even paying attention to the hair, I want to know how to get her eye makeup...gorgeous!!!! I do prefer her with longer hair, but I say hey why the hell not give the short cut a shot, it'll grow back and in her case if she hated it she could get extensions pretty fast. If I could get extensions like all these hollywood starlets i'd probably be way more willing to go short haha

She looks more youthful and fresh with the long hair, but more mature and sophisticated with the short cut. I don't really have a strong preference either way-- she looks great with both styles-- but I do think the lighter golden color of the short cut compliments her skin tone better then that dark auburn did.
