2010 MTV Video Music Awards: Hayley Williams

Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, is always adorably punky, but she also has a polished side. At the VMAs, she wore a prim and proper bun and sweet pink eye shadow. Her tangerine hair still kept things quirky, but it was a little more subdued than we're used to seeing on her. Do you like seeing Hayley trying something a little quieter, or do you wish she'd keep things rocker chic?

I like her usual bold look. The orange hair w. the pink eyeshadow washes her out and makes her look sick. It looks like her eyes are itchy!

The pink eyeshadow makes it look like the skin is really irritated.

I think Hayley is an extremely gorgeous girl, and can pull off just about anything. However, I actually watched the VMAs and unfortunately this look got completely washed out on stage. A bolder look would have suited her performance better.

I get the fact that she might be going for an "understated" MAC To The Beach-esque look, but this makeup is not a good look for her. It might be cute on lots of other people with, you know, slightly less hot orange hair. I usually adore the pinky corals, but... not for eyeshadow, blush and lips all at once. I love her 'usual' bold look and can't wait until she's back in the onyx eyeliner!
