Slightly Burned Scalp. Help!

Here's an excerpt from OnSugar blog Revitalize!. Any suggestions for her?

I touched up my hair roots today at the hair salon. However, I think she probably didn't do it properly or something, and applied the dye over my hair line to my skin. Now I have a two small chemical burns on my hairline. Nothing drastic, but it's a bit painful and unsightly to me. I applied aloe vera gel on it and it stings bit. Is there anything else I can do to make it heal faster?

oh and another thing, i would have someone check the rest of your head for spots, just incase, if there are any i would get my ass back in there and demand to know why, as a haurstylist there is no reason to chemically burn someone if you do things properly.

I'm a hairstylist, i think i have a few ideas why this happened 1. your hair dresser used too high of a developer on you, can cause chemical burns (can also leave bald spots do NOT pick at it) 2, you may have developed an allergy, or a sensitivity (this happens randonly all the time especially on people who colour their hair alot) 3. she f*cked it up. definately mention it to her, and i suggest pure vitamin e oil, i find its the best for scars. and next time you can ask her to mix your colour formula with everyday sweetner, it acts as a buffer on your scalp and wont affect the colour

vitamin e oil works miracles. I apply it on my pimple scars and it clears it up. make sure the oil is not a cocktail of other oils, you need pure vitamin e oil. Oh, and the higher the IUs the better.. :D

Mederma helps with scars, might work on this. Or maybe later after it's healed, if it leaves a mark? I probably wouldn't put Mederma on an 'open' wound, but it is kind of a miracle healer.

Shea butter! If you can find some real shea butter (I'd recommend health stores and L'Occitane that also does lipbalm size ones, so you get almost pure butter) it's incredibly soothing, moisturising and really helps with burnt skin. It's also super good for sunburns for instance.

Wow, I've never had anything like that happen. First, I would call the salon and tell the manager what happened. The hairdresser needs to be aware that something went wrong so she can correct her mistake and the manager needs to know to protect their business and reputation. I would also ask them if they have any suggestions for treatments as they may have dealt with this before. Some aspirin would probably help with the pain. Ditto on the neosporin for pain and to prevent scarring. Try parting your hair from the side to cover the burns.

Ouch :(Sometimes I chill a used green tea bag then leave it on the burn for a minute then switch sides when it gets warm.Usually I will just use aloe vera and cold water if I can though. sorry if this isn't much help.

Neosporin and I've found Burt's Bee's Res-Q Ointment works wonders on burns.
