I was so sad when Hilary Duff left Gossip Girl, but she's been plenty busy these last few months, between getting married to her hockey-playing beau, Mike Comrie, and writing her new novel, Elixir. At a signing event for the book last night, Hilary showed off new ombre hair color with a highly wrought braided updo. Both the dye job and the style are trendy right now, but do you think the combination worked for her?

Love the hair, love the eyes, love the lips. This is a terrific fall look. It is more bold then you're used to seeing and there is nothing worng with more bold. I would love to be styled like this.

I love the hair, although the color looks a little too orangey for my taste. The makeup is fine with me, although I agree she could have toned it down a bit. What I can't for the life of me understand is WHY ANYONE LIKES THIS GIRL AT ALL! She has absolutely no talent, she is a painfully bad actress (or I should say not an actress at all), and she has absolutely no charm or anything to offer. I don't have any problem with her personally (I don't really know anything about her), but I don't understand how she continues to get work or why anybody would like her in the entertainment industry...

The hair is totally fine with me. I find it very cute looking. But the makeup is extremely disgusting. It makes Hilary looks 53 instead of 23. Only insecured people would have to wear that much makeup to cover their flaws. Well, Hilary has always worn too much makeup in my eyes.

The makeup and hair together are too much, IMO.

i actually really love her eye makeup. they make her eyes pop.i do not like the hairstyle. WAY too many braids. and her lip color is okay..other than that, the ombre color is barely noticeable with everything else she has going on

its not the hair the is the problem. Her eye make up is WAY too bold. She should have toned it down for more attention to the hair. Not to both.
